I have been working on this thing off and on since the summer! I originally bought a Dr. Who scarf pack just because I loved the colors. It was my first time buying Stylecraft Special DK yarn. I totally fell in love. There is a large selection of colors to choose from and 7 doesn’t even put a dent in it!
I decided to make a star and 7 skeins wasn’t enough so I ordered more. I bought a total of 28 skeins ( 4 of each color) but I didn’t use all of them AT ALL. I decided to just make it big enough for me to use.
The colors I used are:
1027 Khaki
1054 Walnut
1061 Plum
1063 Graphite
1420 Camel
1709 Gold
1723 Tomato
And so begins my yarn stash!
I have 2 skeins of each color leftover untouched. I have varying amounts of skeins I worked from. From greatest to least used are Camel, Gold, Khaki, Plum, Walnut, Tomato, and Graphite.
I used a 4mm hook.
I just did a simple sc border of each of the 7 colors working in the back loop only. I wish I had gone up a hook size because it did pull things a bit tight but this blanket is for me and I LOVE it and that is all that matters!
Measuring in at just over 6ft ( 1.9m) from point to point… Behold!
I don’t know if the pictures do it justice but I plan to enjoy this bad boy for years to come!
Lovely colours
